We look forward to working with Dominic to help advance farm animal welfare.
We believe our focus is more vital than ever to end the suffering in live animal exports, bring an end to battery hens farming and confined farrowing crates for pigs, introduce mandatory CCTV in all slaughterhouses and to protect our Farmers from low welfare imports as we negotiate Brexit trade deals as the UK leaves the EU.
(The Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation is an independent organisation established in 2016, to give voice to Conservative supporters and politicians to raise awareness of the billions of animals reared on intensive farms around the world, and how this impacts upon animal welfare, the environment and people’s health. The campaign focuses on the mandatory introduction of CCTV in slaughterhouses, the end of live animal exports, an end to cages for hens and confined pig farrowing crates and the introduction of method of production labelling on meat and dairy products.)
