On Monday 30th September, the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation in partnership with the Animals Matter coalition of the RSPCA, Humane Society International UK, Four Paws, and Compassion In World Farming will hold an animal welfare reception at the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham.

The reception will be hosted by Dame Rebecca Harris DBE MP, and include contributions from former Secretary of State for Defra and CAWF Patron the Rt Hon Theresa Villiers, and fellow Patrons Anna Firth, Jane Stevenson, and Iain Dale, award-winning broadcaster and author.

We are pleased that several MPs, Peers, NGOs, charities, and media will attend.

The reception will be an opportunity to bring attention to the importance of better animal protection. It will also highlight key campaigns, such as ending cages for laying hens, banning pig farrowing crates, introducing mandatory labelling, stronger protections for farmed fish, and more animal welfare issues.
