The Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation (CAWF) welcomes Patron Henry Smith MP’s Private Members Bill, Second Reading, the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill, which would ban trophy hunting imports to the UK.
The Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation (CAWF) is supporting ‘Cecil’s Week’, a week of events organised by the APPG on Banning Trophy Hunting to mark the 7th anniversary of Cecil the lion killed by an American trophy hunter in Zimbabwe .

The Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation’s sister organisation, Blue Hare, has campaigned for over a decade for a closed season for hares and is delighted by the Secretary of State for the Environment, George Eustice’s, announcement.
Our sister organisation Conservatives Against Fox Hunting introduced the Blue Hare campaign for a closed season for hares in 2011 to the House of Commons. A close season for hares is under consideration by the Government.
