MPs join our fringe reception with CAWF at party conference

The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, Carrie Symonds, Stanley Johnson and Andrew Rosindell MP join our fringe reception with CIWF at party conference hosted by Sir David Amess MP

Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation and Compassion In World Farming held a second joint fringe reception’ What Next For Animal Welfare?’ together at the Party Conference on the 30 September at the Midland Hotel hosted by Sir David Amess MP.

Speakers included the Prime Minister’s Father Stanley Johnson, the Prime Minister’s partner and our Patron Carrie Symonds, the Foreign Secretary- Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP, Lorraine Platt, Co-Founder of Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation,  our Director Peter Hall AM and Dr Nick Palmer, Head of Compassion in World farming.

Guest Speakers included Kiki Yuen of World Dog Alliance which works to end the global consumption of dogs and Duncan McNair, Ceo of Save The Asian Elephants to end the suffering of captive Asian elephants.

The event was well attended and attendees included Andrew Rosindell MP, Conservative Councillors,parliamentary candidates, party activists and representatives from IFAW, World Animal Protection, the League Against Cruel Sports and the RSPB.

The Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation attends the national party conference every autumn and holds events to directly communicate the interests and concerns of grass roots supporters on animal welfare issues.
