Octopuses and lobsters have feelings and should be included in the animal sentience bill, a group of Conservative MPs has said.
The Government has announced fines of up to £5,000 for animal offences proposed under new Penalty Notices Bill.
June 14th is the day to speak for the millions of farmed animals transported over long distances every year.
The Bill will, amongst other animal welfare legislation, bring an end to the export of live animals for slaughter and fattening.

“The ‘unofficial whip’ on untraditional policies, such as banning foie gras and fur, is an artist and grassroots campaigner from Surrey.
Ministers are also drawing up plans to clamp down on cages used in farming, which are still used for young broiler chickens, hens, pigs, and game birds. They hope to announce new laws as part of a raft of animal welfare measures to show that the UK can commit to higher standards now it has left the EU.
